Counting the beat: What is music?

 

Hello readers :)

This term in my hurumanu class we have been learning about music, and counting the beat, The first class we had was us talking about different types of music, where it can be found, how music can be made, we got into groups of four and wrote the answer to the question on the paper we got from our teacher ( Mr mitchell ).    

What is music? What types are there? 

Definition: 

Sounds, notes and beats that are put together to express ideas or emotions.

Types: 

Rock and roll, rap, country, hip hop, jazz, blues, lyrical,metal, heavy metal, classical, calm, pop, karaoke, electric, singing, soft

Where can we find/hear/experience music?
