 My hero: Stanislav Petrov

Stanislav Petrov saved the world by listening to his gut, He was born on 7 September 1939 and died on 19 may 2017 (Age he died: 77 ). He had children called Dmitry Petrov and Elena Petrov, he saved the world from a worldwide nuclear war in 1983. Stanislav Petrov was a lieutenant colonel of the Soviet Air Defence Forces who played a key role in the 1983 Soviet nuclear false alarm incident. He was at his shift at work then an Soviet nuclear alarm came on, He followed his gut and standed down to call the massive Soviet retaliation, Thereby he saved the world from a nuclear war, He is my hero since he did this, He saved the world by following his gut! :)
